copy, copy, copy! art lesson by gardega

When you are a young artist copy everything you can! Copy every old master you can find..when I was 15 to 20 I copied my ass off. This is how you learn to peel away the layers to become yourself. I peeled away dali and raphael and vermeer and degas and leonardo and became gardega...copy your ass off!!!!! steal as much as you can, but become yourself..and get the hell out of your hometown  or you will rot...
