I had an idea yesterday. I think you humble readers of mine should try this...next time you go to a funeral, start clapping--- maybe even throw in the double pinky whistle. (see if you can get the other mourners to join in) I have seen this at music events where the crowd is being quiet and one guy starts clapping and then it spreads like an infection. Next thing, the crowd is alive! Try this at a funeral and get back to me and let me know how it works.
