I took this photo yesterday. Correct me if I am wrong but I think this a dogwood tree. I will paint this tree soon.

ReplyDeleteHmmm...dogwood flowers have petals that are long and shaped like a tongue and they also have small red berries where the flowers form. I had a pink one in my back yard growing up in Massapequa.
This tree looks like a cherry blossom. The petals are rather small and delicate looking, plus the amount of petals that already fell under the tree look just like the petals that would fall from the cherry blossom tree that grew in my front yard in...yup - Massapequa.
