New Covers

I was walking down Lexington yesterday and I noticed my new yellow page covers were in front of stores. I followed the books like Hansel following bread crumbs and eventually found the truck that was delivering the books around NYC. The odd thing is every year I stumble upon the truck delivering my books, even in brooklyn it happened to me. Hansel made it out of the woods because birds do not eat art only bread crumbs but birds lay eggs and that is my next project.

The egg of genius

The eggs of genius are only hatched in the warm nest of classical thought. Modernism has no oxygen and the eggs will have no taste and weak shells and can never be timeless. I woke up at 4 AM and painted this Ostrich egg. I cant explain why but soon it will all make sense.

COLOR

Some artists are masters of line (raphael) Some are masters Form (Leonardo) Some are masters of personality (dali) and some are masters of color (Thomas Moran)--- he was a colorist par excellence! Alex is a master of self promotion without which he would be forced to make pizza instead of art or even worse--- draw things other people tell me to draw for money. COLOR!

back to work

I am back to work. All cylinders seem to be back in working order. I am laying low from my favorite vino and drinking only the wine of wisdom. ---it hurts less the next day.
