The mania for the chosen one has passed like the sell by date on last month's chicken and in 2012 we will have a new prez and he will be called Notobama. And the sheep will cheer and wave banners and wear pins and none of it will really matter and the sheep will go back indoors and try to pretend that they werent fools for getting excited about another puppet controlled by wall street and corporate interests. I cheer for no one---I am too jaded. I would have hope for a third party candidate so we can break up the false paradigm of good-cop, bad- cop as that has only gotten us bigger govt, less liberties and higher taxes--(unless I am missing something.) I think the sheep should be further dumbed down so they are less aware of the "evil shepherd" and one fine way to do that is to add mercury to our foods. (Mercury is a yummy neuro toxin that makes are vaccines so tasty!) Oh wait---90% of corn syrup is already contaminated with mercury--- I forgot, nevermind...drink up, johnny! Im going to get my morning pepsi.

the third horseman

If you want something done give it to a busy man..when I am on a roll I can paint 18 hours. I am on my 12th hour and I have another 8 in me. I think I am done with the third horseman and now I am painting a guitar for someone.

I sold a painting today to someone who works in a restaurant--it was one of my lost soul paintings and I think a pretty good one of that series. Working in a restaurant is hard work--I did my time in one as have many artists. I sometimes feel bad taking money from a person who isnt rich but If the art moves you enough and makes you happy then I am glad to have a new collector. These paintings (to me) look like they were painted by a crazy person and that is fine. I think it is important to let your hand and heart paint on their own sometimes and to leave the rational mind in the back seat. After you complete the piece then you can look at it from a rational "judging" perspective. You cant paint lost souls in any real or hyper realistic format--that is kitch--that is fantasy cheese and illustration. Lost souls are best glimpsed from the corner of your eye, indirect and in shadow. Some paintings paint themselves--you simply flow with them and others require much noodling--you cannot noodle these L.S. paintings-they are about restraint and have to painted in one sitting and very immediately.

I once had a dream of the apocalypse that was so terrifying It's vibrations still linger in my art today. Here is one of the four riders of the apocalypse. Famine is the third rider and he rides a black horse. In my dream there were no horses but the dream lead me on a long journey of exploring the apocalypse and the dark side of life (and death) in my work. Famine is generally shown holding scales; I am not sure I want them here--- it is still in progress. After painting a restaurant for 24 hours one can really enjoy painting a personal piece--it is like a kid eating desert after finishing your liver. These are strange times and there is little room for puppies and kewpie dolls in art.

I just spent two straight days working my my ass off facing a deadline that was horrid and brutal and I find out the painting is not needed until next week. The person who told me the date was just playing it safe. (by a week, mind you) I am going out for a drink. I have been painting like hell since 7am under a false deadline. Thanks for the information. I am covered in paint, I have sinus allergies and a headache. My studio and clothes look like a bomb hit it.

your president now wants to be able to throw people in a cell indefinitely and without trial. This is called prolonged detention. Also known as pre-crime. Im having an orwellian theme party tonight. For all you sheep who voted for him I feel sorry for you and forgive you. George bush didnt even slip this low. Eventually they will scan your brain and determine you are having thought crimes and lock you away. Obama wants a "New legal regime" to handle such cases. Can you imagine the firestorm if W tried this? But I dont hear a peep from media or the lefties I know. They can now toss you in a hole for 10 years and no one will know and you cant even call an attorney. I spoke to a leftie who now told me it is good obama expands Afghanistan. I can only explain this as too much flouride. I have no other answers. And you fools who liked W are no better. I have to go to my easel know it is 7AM on a Sunday and I am getting a late start because I am wasting time.
