Saw this for the first time, yesterday. My friend Monika and I posed in front of it. I like warhol because he was a trip, his art doesnt mean much to me but he was a trip. His factory was just to my (true) left..right above now which is a Petco store...Read some interviews with him, he was very smart but not as smart as Dali. It wasnt a good day, I had to force a smile..someone broke 4 art deco glass pieces of mine that I made four years ago for a client.

setbacks

Setbacks do not define you. If you allow them to do so you are subservient to circumstances. People who achieve things are bigger than their circumstances. I get really frustrated, even angry on occasion but I only allow myself a day or two to mope. If you become a victim you are toast, I think the fact that I externalize things helps me not to sit and fester. A simple, fully committed decision can change your life, you only need to be all in...focus on the future and the positive, not the horrible day you had today.

I am  sorry for my rude entry about "stupid people" on top of a really stressful run of art someone broke 5,000 dollars worth of my art that took me a long time to make and could have easily been protected and not shattered. I try to take a high and noble road in life but it is sometimes tested beyond my capacity for patience. My real point is not "stupid people" it is people in life who just dont do the right thing and take care of business and commitments and I guess those who dwell in that realm of barely responsible action and sloth have their own hell to deal with. Some days are diamonds and some days are stone.. I am seriously thinking about getting out of glass altogether...Ill just have to paint like a man whose life depends on it (as it does)

All the good people are gone..johnny cash, ayn rand, jim morrison, dali, don knotts, aaron russo....if you are a useless muppet in life you will live to 89 if you are brilliant you can bet your star is a bright and brief thing.

perspective: the fukushima 50

If you are unhappy in your job or even your life right now, consider this: 50 workers in the Fukushima nuke plant are working around the clock to save the reactor and the country. They have all been exposed to enough radiation that they have accpeted it as a death sentence. They are living on crackers and rice twice a day and sleeping in radioactive. The texan in me says this to you. Quit your bitchin, you arent in their radioactive shoes.
