advice to young artists

If I could tell one thing to other artists it would be this very simple truth or Axiom:

"Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER listen to another artist about anything--EVER. They do not have your best interests in mind--EVEN your FRIENDS and professors. Artists are jealous backstabbers (I learned that long ago) and I also learned that if you for one second drop what you believe in deep in your soul because you listened to some low IQ fool you will live to regret it because that thing you dropped is your essence. NEVER DOUBT YOUR ESSENCE. What sets you apart from other artists is what makes you great. Your essence (or juice) came from God and you must honor God by following your own voice within. The great tragedy is giving up your individualism and joining the herd of inbred gimps. Do not let ART SCHOOL turn you into a sheep--do not follow trends and do not try to ape one of your brainless professors. It is better to be a maverick, even a failed one."

FOLLOW THYSELF

Since I started this in about (may?) of 2007 I have made 3,101 Posts. When I lock into something I usually push it as far as I can and then some. It is good for art--sometimes bad for your parents and friends and dating. I have a PHD in stubborn and a masters in ignoring others who tell you you cant.

clutter

I am selling my "yellow pad drawings" for ten dollars a piece. I will use the money for my "big scheme" I am working on. I am not about to start getting cluttered beneath thousands of drawings again. This is a chance to own a Gardega if you cant afford my paintings. I make drawings like bunnies make little bunnies. I charge ten dollars for shipping because it is hell and I hate the post office. I have learned to be streamlined and organized and when my studio starts getting piled I get nervous. The top one is "greek sculpture" the second is "birth of man." I hate throwing away work but I would rather do that than trip over them. So this works out for everyone. I may make it so you have to buy two I am not sure yet. This is like getting in Google on the ground floor except it is Gardega.

If I was king

If I was king I would make it mandatory that before you can serve in government on any capacity you will be required to prove that you owned and ran your own business for at least five years. There will be no life long free loading politicians and no nepotism. If you didn't run your own business--- hit the road. Running your own business will teach you that you have to save money and you cannot spend others money like a drunken fool.
