look vs seeing
there is a huge difference between looking and seeing. You can look without seeing but the reverse is not true. Seeing is really knowing what is in front of you. Looking is merely mentally acknowledging what is in front of you. An artist must see, not look. Seeing is the visual equivalent of smelling the roses. I prefer seeing the roses.
