people sometimes ask me if I can give their kid or nephew advice on how to become an artist. My go to response is this:
THERE ARE NO EXCUSES. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE ART YOU WILL MAKE THE TIME. DONT TELL ME YOU ARE TOO BUSY AND THAT YOU WILL START NEXT MONTH, NEXT YEAR. YOU MUST DIP YOUR BRUSH INTO YOUR SPLEEN AND CLEAN IT WITH YOUR BLOOD. THERE IS NO HALF MEASURES, NO ROOM FOR SUNDAY "ARTEESTS." I HAVE ARTIST FRIENDS WHO GAVE UP YEARS AGO.I PERSONALLY, WOULD RATHER BE DEAD. GIVE IT YOUR ALL OR GO HOME.
