heart of darkness

I am reading heart of darkenss again for the 11th time. Joseph conrad makes 99.8% of writers look like the wind up monkets you had as a kid that banged cymbals together. I love vonnegut but he wasnt fit to shine the shoes of conrad and hemingway would be fit to shine his shoes but just barely. No writer in history excelled at creating a reality you could taste see and smell better than lord jim. he was a painter of words.
