gardega 52---a great card game

last night I played  card game in a restaurant with a friend. It is a fascinating game. Here is how it works.

take 52 cards and lay them face down spread out on a table.

this game is based on energy.

the point of the game is to pick a card out of pile that is NOT the one chosen card and to continue doing so until there is one card left. in this case we were trying to pick every card one by one except for the ace of clubs. we actually managed to get it down to the finally two cards. (then I jumped in and took his turn and flipped over the ace and ruined things) but I have a feeling he would have chosen the other card and the ace would have been the last card...the odds are totally against this but it seems to work and it happens a lot. it is exactly the same odds as walking up to a deck of cards and pulling the ace out a deck on the first try. but it is a round about way of playing the same odds.

the odds are 1 in 52.

the game is really interesting and I recommend trying it. it speaks to energy and chance.
