US couple murdered on texas border

An american couple was attacked by pirates on a Texas lake that straddles the US border with Mexico. The husband was shot dead. I guess if it was "terrorism" (whatever the websters definition is) it would be big news but It seems to be not that big of news story because it is our neighbor to the south. I guess if it was an arab/ al queda attack there would be a new country to invade but since it is our neighbor it will soon be swept under the rug.  Seems to me that dead is dead. No one will even condemn the attack. I just expected a bit more anger out of the american authorities---thought the were supposed to protect americans.  The southern border is a dangerous drug and gang riddled mess, Ill take my vacations anywhere but mexico, thank you.
