FALSE
EVIDENCE
APPEARING
REAL
fear is a huge thing to overcome on your art path. If you want to be an artist you have to believe that you are entitled and have a right to be an artist. You must look fear in the eye. Most fear is an illusion, sewn into our dna of our being by the hand of our creator. It was put there to keep you safe at night as you slept in the trees or caves of our past. Fear will glue your feet to the floor like a rat in a glue trap. It can make you circle for the rest of your days in a spiral of frustration, it can also keep you from getting your head bit off by a lion. It is more often than not False evidence appearing real. If I had a dime for every artist who told me they were getting ready to start making art again or they quit because of blah blah blah---often they simply ran from the shadow of fear, the unknown. Standing in fear is much better than standing in the space of "what if" or "I should have given it a shot."
