If you sacrifice everything in your life in the pursuit of art you can get a lot of work done..some will be good and some will bad and some will be best forgotten...There is no shame in making a bad piece of art and there is no shame in failure--- there is only shame in not trying...There will be great moments and tragic moments and good years and very bad years when there feels like no hope...the trick is to turn your collar to the sun and chase the shadow of your being, your inner self and to let this become the prime mover of your art. You will never find yourself (the dog never catches his own tail) but you will move ahead, even if it is in concentric circles because motion is life and stagnation is death. With great dedication the universe will open doors for you that you did not even know existed. You will have moments that cannot be communicated to those who have not been there--- such tales cant be told, they cannot be written nor grokked and the need to express them from the chasm is the sand in the oyster that makes the art. The only thing the universal muse requires is that you have both feet in the cold river of the unknown.
