I was recently shown a sketchbook by a waitress. It blew me away. Not as much because of technique but because of soul. Dozens of pages filled to the brim with honest art. I neglect my sketchbooks a lot because I am in the trenches fighting art battles but it filled up my soul to see a sketchbook that was just filled up with art. The best artists are ones who dont sell art. They are pure. Im a whore but I am a talented whore. It is better to be an art whore and sell art than to be unknown. But in the end all hope depends on the red wheel barrow of genius.
