art lesson by gardega
I recommend starting everyday you possibly can with a drawing. Not a drawing out of your head but either a study of an old master or some figure or anatomy study. This wakes up the brain and hand. I wasnt feeling inspired this morn to start my mural so I did a quick leonardo drawing to warm up. There are exercises that will wake you up and get the blood pumping. Never start making art in a fog, you will waste time. It is best to always draw form nature or a real figure but the next best thing is to copy an old master. Never a day without a drawing

1) be thorough 2) get a momentum going 3) STAY FOCUSED! LOSE FOCUS, LOSE MOMENTUM. Ask yourself what you should be thinking about right now ...
