post modern messes

I read an article over lunch today about the endangered post modern architectural gems of no canaan ct. What this article was about was these crappy modernist cube house built in ct. That are now being torn down. Etc. Basically, these are those ugly little low ceiling, small kitchen glass and aluminum jobbies thatlook cool in movies from the 60' but no one want to live in them. The article spoke of the HARVARD 5, architectural circle and the german influence and it was not unusual for these genius idiots to solve problems over lunch using sugar cubes...The reason they are tearing these things down is they are ugly and dint stand the test of time. Give me an old farmhouse made solid with love and care any day over your dumb sugar cube houses. They didnt stand the test of time any better than modern art will, it will melt like a sugar cube into the swamp of history, a tiny footnote in the book of great art. Idiots
