They say this is a newly found Leonardo drawing and that it has his fingerprint on it. The funny thing is-- I think it has a good chance by judging from the eyes mouth and face. It is a great drawing and I have seen drawings that were attributed to him that are 100% not his. But based on artistic merit alone this could well be his. There is a bit of stiffness to it, though, Leonardo's art was never stiff because he studied natures secrets and nature is never stiff. The eyes of the woman say Leonardo to me. The neck and chest--not as much. But is has great harmony---They should ask artists instead of scientists. I could take 50 Leonardo drawings out of his books that aren't his at all. If you know how to draw you don't forget from one day to the next and make clunkers--then again, sometimes you do.
Gardega says yes---and the color/ tone is pure genius/ leonardo
new wrinkle in this case----the montreal based expert has a bit of a sketchy past and was accuseed of finger print fraud once before...hmmmm....
