leoanardo learning: how to draw a saint
In today's art lesson, gardega will show you how to draw a saint in the style of Rembrandt to be used as the basis for a carved glass piece that will be installed in a mausoleum. Drawing is the cornerstone of art..without drawing your painting will only be so much fish soup---old fish soup that has turned sour and with the odor of poor craftsmanship. Art is not slopping down paint in some faux impassioned state of art school idiocy--art is a controlled mechanic exercise in which the genius lies in the passion kept in control like a wild horse in a corral. Even van gogh--the most passionate of artists spoke of this. One doesnt paint in a drunken frenzy, one thinks and thinks and thinks again. The passion come later when the art is done and you walk out into the night cafe. methinks.
