I saw these two women in fur coats and umbrellas walking up towards The Met. It was the tail end of a big snowstorm. To the left is Central Park. I liked the way the reflected in the puddles in the sidewalk and I like to paint snow so it was a twofold reason I decided to paint this. I will next paint an oil version of this. The hardest thong with watercolor is not to over paint them. This one needed a lot of detail so that was a balancing act.

I am working on a full scale copy of Leonardo's Virgin on the Rocks, This is the top portion. Aside from the face the rocks etc are 95% done. The final is 48" by 76" roughly. I am using the National Gallery version, not the Louvre version.I have spent COUNTLESS hours just completing the top portion...Very complex genius, he was...This is better than 4 years of art school as far as learning about art.

This is the entry door to my shoebox NYC apt... notice the ugly peep-hole box, mid- door.
These are two views from the Metropolitan Museum, I call the Met my "Living Room" I decided to
to combine these two views and transform my entry way to expand my space.
