This is the best portrait ever painted. The color is off here, the robe is supposed to be blue. this is in the national gallery. Leonardo's influence is very apparent here in Raphael's portrait of some renaissance rich banker. The eyes are the work of genius and one reason this is a masterpiece for the ages. Something tells me this guy was not a construction worker or bouncer. I would like to know what Raphael was paid for this portrait at the time.Friday, November 14, 2008
