If you are dressed in a grey suit and you walk through a yellow field your suit will appear to have a purple tone. Why? because purple is the compliment of yellow. If you mix a purple pigment with a yellow pigment you will get a grey tone. Opposites on the color wheel when they marry will have grey children.
