painting of the day--hans memling the last judgement

I love these old apocalyptic triptychs, I love the hyper-details and the imaginative hells. This was painted by Hans memling who also happened to paint the christ figure that was used in the movie THX 1138.

In my life I intend to paint my own apocalyptic triptych and spend a few years on it. Better get it done before 2012.
