I thought I would explain something about maritime law and international waters. I wont get into the emotional/ right or wrong aspects of the Israeli raid on the flotilla but I will explain how international law works on the high seas. If you are in international waters then your ship is essentially the same sovereign nation as whatever flag you are flying. If you are a Canadian ship then you are essentially like a floating "chunk" of Canada. To enter the ship without permission is the same as invading a country it is piracy and an act of war. I find maritime law very interesting, maybe because my grandfather was a captain in the Merchant Marines. I will not get into opinions here, only legality.
