Process
I am going to display here how to properly gesso two wood panels for painting. I bought these great panels yesterday. The are cradled Masonite panels. Masonite is a good surface for painting and has a good reputation as something that lasts. Wood is good for smaller paintings as canvas has too much texture for fine detail. Vermeer painted on wood for the most part. I will show I treat the surface before I paint.
